KINGSTON
INTERNATIONAL YOUTH
HOCKEY/SPORTS FESTS
Kingston, On
The "Kingston
International Youth Hockey/Sports Fests" for boys and girls is
one of the most popular “competitive-fun sports” settings in the summer
that offers an innovative tournament while practicing different sports
in a safe and healthy environment.
There were over 50 teams competing
in ringette, ice hockey, and ball hockey during the first weekend in
July 2009, one of the
biggest and diversified hockey/sports
festival in North America.
Teams from different
sports competed with fairness and respect.
There were closed to 120
teams that participated during 3 weekends in 2010: 30 April-2 May 2010;
25-37 June 2010, and 2-4 July 2010. We had players and teams from US,
Europe and Japan.
From Thursday evening through to
Sunday afternoon, the facility’s four pad surfaces were busy
giving parents and friends the opportunity to move from rink to rink to
encourage players to perform with dignity and respect.
" It was an immense success", says Dr Armand St-Pierre, Director of the
Kingston Kingston International Youth Hockey & Sports Fests. " We had
collaboration and support from the local social, sports, and business
communities."
The tournament was well structured, ran and end on time, and qualified
tournament staff and top officiating made the event a 'well-run"
tournament and a 'fair-competitive" game for all players.
